The engine inhales a large amount of air during operation. If the air is not filtered, once the airborne dust is inhaled into the cylinder, it will accelerate the wear of piston group and cylinder. Larger particles entering the piston and the cylinder will cause serious "cylinder bore scuffing" phenomenon, which is particularly serious in dry and sandy work environment. Air filter is installed in the front of carburetor or air pipe to filter out the dust and sand in the air to ensure full amount of clean air in the cylinder.
